Yes, No, Maybe: Artists Working at Crown Point Press features 25 artists who have worked in the Crown Point studio since 1972, with special emphasis on John Cage, Richard Diebenkorn, and Chuck Close. The exhibition highlights the artistic process by revealing the decisions made by the artists in the printmaking studio. Working proofs record deliberate or serendipitous occurrences and reveal changes and corrections before an image is complete. This exhibition features them alongside final prints, providing a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative process.Among the artists represented here are those with long ties to Crown Point Press and its founder Kathan Brown---Sol LeWitt, Pat Steir and Wayne Thiebaud--and those whose association is more recent, such as Mamma Andersson, Julie Mehretu, Jockum Nordström, Chris Ofili, Amy Sillman and Fred Wilson.

With essays by Judith Brodie and Adam Greenhalgh. 239 pages, with 152 illustrations in color. This is a big, beautiful, surprising, and enlightening book. Published by National Gallery of Art, 2013
